No, this has nothing to do with outer space or time travel. (Sorry!) Rather, the point here  is that editors manipulate viewers’ perceptions of the flow of time—and where things are—to make for better storytelling.

A movie or TV show is a “window” on a given scene, and editors can manipulate that window to influence the audience’s perceptions. This all sounds very esoteric, but it’s actually quite simple to do.
