BAD Match
Matching action can be tricky because actors won’t always act exactly the same in each shot. In this clip the woman looks down at the end of the wide shot. So when we cut to the closer shot (where she is looking up), it looks terrible because her head is in a very different position.
GOOD Match
There is a solution... just moving the edit point around creates a match. If the cut is made while she is still looking at the other man, then the sequence will match. Note how this version is seamless.
