Lead Room
At right are a couple more examples of lead room. Notice how the horse shot is composed so the rider has more room in front and less behind. That's a good application of lead room.
The rock climber also has lead room—in a way. We see the space below him, anticipating where he might go! Call it lead room for pessimists.
