Wide Angle
Focusing is a lot easier with a wide angle lens setting. In fact, it's pretty hard to make a focus error when shooting wide angle.
Ever wonder why smartphone cameras doesn't have focus adjustments? How can the camera be sure each shot is in focus? It's not (usually) an autofocus mechanism at work. Instead, most smartphones just have a very wide angle lens. The result is that nearly everything is always in focus.
While most people would consider this attribute to be a positive for wide angle lenses, that's not always the case. As we discussed before, sometimes a filmmaker may not want everything in a scene in focus.
With a wide angle setting, everything is in focus; from close-up to far away.
