This  might all seem very obvious, but below is a re-edit that makes this point clearer. The scene below may look the same, but it is not. The last two shots have a different screen direction, which totally changes the story. In this version, after the boy is found, the woman in the yellow coat runs R-L.

 

At the same time, the woman in the white coat goes L-R. This makes it appear that the woman in the white coat is afraid of the woman in the yellow coat and wants to get away from her as fast as possible. Yet all that has been changed is screen direction.
