SEQUENCES

While a sequence might be just two shots (as we've seen), sequences of 3, 4, 10 shots are common. But the rules stay the same regardless of length. Start with an establishing shot and gradually move to closer shots.

Longer sequences sometime end with a wide shot—to remind viewers again of “where are we.” But if you close with a wide shot, make it a new one.
