High Angle
From Sergei Eisenstein’s "The General."
High Angle
Most of the time, people should be shot at at their eye level, making the camera a neutral observer. Shooting down on people gives the impression that they are submissive. This is called a "High Angle" shot.
This is a technique advanced users can use to achieve a desired effect, but for most shooting, keep the camera at eye level.
A classic high-angle problem. He’s a cute kid, but he’d be cuter if the camera was at his eye-level so viewers could see this face.
